B5 The B5 carbon / GRP seat The B5 carbon / GRP seat weighs from 6.5 to 7.6 kg and it has been designed especially to suit the Lotus Elise / Exige. This model has a regular saloon car seating angle and the small narrow size of the B5 means that it can be used in many other vehicles. The B5 sits the driver very low in the car which reduces the likelihood of hitting the crash helmet on the roll cage. This benefits the taller driver and also helps lower the centre of gravity. The side profile, developed from years of manufacturing kart racing seats, gives excellent support and leaves the shoulders free to help steer the car unhindered. The seat is also very rigid which adds to the handling feedback and feeling of security. Although the seat is small it can fit a surprisingly large range of driver sizes and the seat has been designed to be compatible with the Hans device. To give that extra bit of comfort, versions of the B5 seats are available with Dinamica® covered soft padded suede panels. It also has side mounting points designed for use with our racing brackets 81.5cm shown below. Side mounting allows adjustment of height and angle and fits the seats rigidly down to a flat floor. They have additional upper mounts and also a headrest mounting point. The seats are supplied as standard with Dinamica® suede covered headrest pad. Additional padded Dinamica® cushion and back panels are available at extra cost. The new B6F XL will be homologated in 2013 and this is 20 mm wider than the regular B6F. It also has raised shoulder seat belt holes for the taller driver. B6F The weight of the B6F is 7.5kg or 8.5kg including the cushion and back suede covered panels. You have the choice to order a 41 or 44 cm front. The two specifications remain the same size internally, the B6F-41 cm version is made to allow fitment between the gearbox tunnel and the door sill of restricted cockpit cars. With the B6F-44 cm the rolled edge is left on giving a more aesthetically pleasing line to the edge of the seat, therefore if you have the room go for this model. TB F1 brackets are made from 6 mm thick anodised aluminium and point inwards under the seat. TB F5 brackets are made from the same 6 mm high grade anodised aluminium as the TB F1 and point outwards. TB5 is a powder coated 5 mm thick aluminium version of the outward pointing TB F5. TB FIA brackets also point outwards and these high quality brackets are FIA crash tested. These allow the seats to be tipped, raised and lowered. TB F1 brackets can be used with TR1 seat adjustment runners. TB5 brackets can be used with TR1 seat adjustment runners for road use. 1.1kg TB FIA race seat bracket EB2 Tillett B5 Elise brackets for fitting to original Beautiful and strong the Tillett TB FIA brackets combine gorgeous looks with ultra-strong performance. Machined from solid aluminium billet these are the ultimate car seat brackets. 1.3 kg runners. This 3 mm thick steel mounting bracket set is designed to fit on the existing Elise/Exige runners and allows the driver to adjust the angle, height of the B5 seat. They also have mounting points for the original seat belt mountings or they can be used for a race harness. 1.25kg EB F1 F1 Tillett side mount seat brackets. These strong and rigid 6 mm thick aluminium mounting brackets are designed to solidly fit the driver’s seat to the Elise/Exige for race and track applications and it allows adjustment of angle, height and leg length. The B6F XL will not fit in the Elise/Exige but it can still use the EB F1 for other vehicles. 1.2 kg EB3 Tillett B5 Elise brackets for fitting passenger side without runners. This 3 mm thick steel mounting bracket set is designed to solidly mount the passenger side of the Elise/Exige without leg length adjustment. However, they do allow a small amount of angle and height adjustment. The EB3 brackets have mounting points for the original seat belt mountings and these can be used for a race harness. Two types are available; EB3 LHD and EB3 RHD, for left and right hand drive cars. 2.6kg TR1 The TR1 adjustable seat runner sets are made to be used in conjunction with our car brackets with a hole to hole spacing of 31.5cm. The runners also fit directly to the bottom of the B6 seat, and the W1i, W2, W4 seats when fitted with the optional backframe moulding. TR1 adjustment runners are supplied with a bolt kit. 1.38kg It is not recommended to use any seat adjustment runners on a race or track day car, as they are only intended for road use.
