Rev1.0 PARTS LIST 2 Front lowering springs 8410-11050 2 Rear lowering springs 8410-11052 Step 1 On the front suspension, on each side remove the lower control arms and uprights as an assembly. Rev1.0 2 Step 3 Compress the springs using ratchet straps, as shown in Figure 3. Figure 3 Step 4 Compress the springs enough to allow vice grips to fit in the gap at arrow in Figure 4. Figure 4 Step 5 Lock vice grips on shock shaft as tightly as possible. There will be some marring of the plating on the shock shaft, which will not cause any operational issues. Rev1.0 3 Step 6 While gripping the vice grips, locked extremely tightly on the shock shaft, use a long socket extension through the shock mount eyelet to unthread the mount from the shaft. A thread locking compound is used by the factory to lock the shock mount to the shaft, so extreme force will be required to break free this interface. Remove the shock mount from the shaft, then remove the factory springs. Installation of the AWE Tuning lowering springs is the reverse of removal. Use red thread locking compound when installing the shock mounts back on the shafts. Figure 6 ENJOY This lowering spring set retains the factory spring rate and will lower the vehicle ~ 1” front and ~1” rear vs stock. This spring set is designed to be installed only on vehicles equipped with factory Vehicle Lift option. Performing a suspension alignment after install of this spring set is highly recommended. (AWE Tuning) warrants to the original retail purchaser (Consumer) this product (McLaren 650S Lowering Spring Set), from date of original purchase, against manufacturing defects for: ONE YEAR Upon verification of warranty coverage, AWE Tuning will repair or replace the defective product at their discretion, without charge. This is the only remedy the Consumer has for any loss or damage, however arising, due to nonconformity in or defect of the product. This warranty does not cover consequential damage, loss of time or revenues, labor costs, shipping costs, inconvenience, loss of use of vehicle, damage to the vehicle or components, or other incidental or indirect damage. All warranties are void if the product was not installed by a certified auto mechanic, improperly serviced, modified, or used in a way not intended by the Manufacturer. Use of product in Motorsports or Racing conditions is grounds for warranty denial. Motorsports and Racing is an inherently abusive operational condition, and it is impossible to warranty for this type of usage. The Consumer is responsible for ensuring that the product is installed in a safe and proper manner, and should cease usage of the product immediately if an unsafe or improper condition is noted. If an unsafe or improper condition is noted, the Consumer should then immediately contact the facility where the product was installed or AWE Tuning directly.
